While reflecting back on 2017, it’s safe say that statement frill sleeve detailing, bell sleeves and balloon sleeves were the biggest trends to take over the winter and spring season. Now that we are back into sweater weather, (well, to be honest it’s still humid as heck over here) the trend is popping back up everywhere. The question of, “is bigger always better?” begins to replay in my mind a lot. Sometimes, it’s hard to figure out how to style exaggerated sleeves. In reality, it’s much more simpler (and flattering) than you might think. Today, I’m sharing how to style my Boohoo Edge To Edge Longline Ruffle Cardiganand I’m rounding up my favorite ruffle sleeve cardigans less than $50.
The very lovely COACH Selena Grace Bag arrived on my doorstep the other day. I was beyond giddy for this package in particular. I just adore brightly colored handbags, especially in a bold red. I knew this particular handbag was going to be extra special though, not just because it was from the limited edition COACH x Selena Collection, but because the size, color and design seemed to be exactly what I was looking for this fall.
If you’ve been following along with me on my Instagram @jenni.eliz, it shouldn’t be a surprise that I adore the fall season and all of the fall fashion trends that come with it. Of course, the smell of pumpkin candles will forever be one of my favorite things about autumn. Yet, aside from the glorious smell, what I really like are the fall fashion trends such as mustard yellow sweaters, dark purple jumpsuits, dark lipstick, I could go on and on. I love autumn trends which is why I’m so excited to share my fall jumpsuits less than $100.

Open Back Blouse to wear right into fall.
Happy weekend, babes! My cloudy Saturday consisted of watching movies on Netflix, blogging and enjoying the fall-like temps. Since it felt like fall, I felt it was only appropriate to dress like it was fall, right? Dress for the season you want, not the season you have. So, I broke out my brim hat, my open back blouse, linked for you here, and forgot that it was summer for just one brief, beautiful moment. Today, I’m excited to bring you this summer to fall look.
My love for jumpsuits just keeps increasing over time and finding fall jumpsuits under $100 is easy thanks to one of my favorite stores. Let’s be honest, jumpsuits are better than dresses in many ways. I love jumpsuits in all colors, fabrics and prints but a neutral jumpsuit that has a warm lining on the inside for maximum comfort? Now, I’m in love. It did take me a little bit to fall in love with this jumpsuit though. I was tempted to return it. Yet, I made a few adjustments and realized: Oh this jumpsuit is something special.
Red-dy to take on the week in this cute, casual red tea dress from ASOS. I love how bright and fun this dress is – it’s definitely an attention-grabber. This dress can be easily toned down, too. Just pair it with brown or blue sandals, a straw boater hat and a simple crossbody bag. Learn more about my casual chic fall outfit inspiration below.
There are so many things that I love about the Missguided Ruffle Bardot Swing Dress. The fact that you don’t have to iron it is #1, with it’s very reasonable price tag of $45 coming in as a close second. A ruffle cocktail dress is a great addition to your closet and with no ironing required, it is guaranteed to be that one dress that you’ll keep coming back to each summer. Update: I just added a few more ruffle cocktail dresses to this post, all $60 or less!
Thinking it’s too late in the season to purchase a new bathing suit? Think again. Plunging one piece bathing suits are the new bikini and can even double as a bodysuit during the fall ( I won’t tell if you don’t). Okay, maybe you don’t want to wear your bathing suit out to the bar, that’s understandable, but there are plenty of more beach and/or pool days left on the calendar and I’ve rounded up my favorite plunging one piece bathing suits for you to try. So, let’s dive right in to today’s post, shall we? Did you see what I did there?
Today’s outfit: Off the shoulder ruffle dress turned strapless, ruffle dress and these round pink sunnies for under $20. If you’ve known me for a hot second, you’ll know just how much I hate carrying around large bags in the summer. In the fall, well that’s a different story. I will literally carry around my entire wardrobe, plus my dog. I’m not sure why my feelings towards accessories change so drastically with the seasons. I am sure it has something to do with the weather.
I can’t believe I’m already talking about the holiday season but it’s true, I’m completely transitioning my blog over to the holidays. I know it’s only November but let’s try to get excited about it. Today was election day and no matter who you voted for, I hope you went out to vote. It may seem out of place to be blogging about holiday outfit ideas when the nation is about to hear their fate for the next 4 years but my job as a blogger is to distract you from all the “serious stuff” in the world and lighten the mood. So, let’s light our Christmas candles and play Christmas music (ha, just kidding it’s way too early for that) and try our best to keep our heads up as we enter into this holiday season.
The general goal for today is finding the perfect holiday outfit that fits YOUR body type.
Tall & Slender: If you have a similar body type like me then my fashion advice is to avoid clothes that won’t swallow you up whole (such as flowy dresses) and stick to pieces that will accentuate your waist line and legs. The best way to accomplish this is crop tops and high waisted pleated maxi skirts that show a little bit of leg. The good thing about having long legs is that you can wear heels or flats and either option will work for you. I love showing off my legs and my waist (as long as it’s tasteful, this is the holidays and all). I love this cropped sequin top from Express, as well as this versatile skirt that comes in 5 different colors.
Hourglass Figure: You definitely want to accentuate your curves. The best way to do this is to draw attention to your waistline, your best feature! If you have an hourglass figure than a belted dress or skater dress are your go-tos this season. I love this silver sequin dress from ASOS. You can also wear a cropped top to highlight your waist line.
Apple Figure: Flowy Tops and a shift dress are your best options for dressing in a way that will make you feel confident this season. Showing off your legs is a must. I love this Scallop Edge Shift Dress from Nordstrom. It’s a classic piece to have in your closet and you can always pair it with fun shoes to give it a nice, holiday feel!
I’ve rounded up my favorite holiday looks to help inspire you as you get ready for the holiday season. Through all of the hustle and bustle, it’s important to take some time for yourself. Remember to slow down and enjoy the holidays, they tend to go by quickly!
