Current Favorite Fall Dresses under $100 for whenever the fall weather is ready to kick in.
It’s October, October is finally here! I wish I could say that the fall weather has arrived but it’s been nearly in the 80s and humid all week. My air conditioner is currently blasting on my face right now while I sip on a pumpkin beer. Something feels off. Yet, when you walk outside you can feel that slight chill in the air that reminds you that the fall weather is about to arrive in full force. For now, we’ll just pretend that it’s fall outside. The chill of the air conditioner and the taste of my pumpkin beer is getting me into the fall spirit so let’s celebrate one of the best months of the year with my favorite dresses under $100.
I love a good deal. Actually, I love a great deal. While recently shopping at my local H&M, I spotted this dress out of the corner of my eye. I’m not sure what exactly caught my eye about it but I think it was the colors. Actually, looking at it again it kinda resembles reptile skin haha. Yet, that’s what I think is so unique about it. The best part? This dress is under $20.
While I love the lightweight material (and obviously the price tag) I wasn’t too crazy about the length of the dress. I knew that I wanted to wear this dress with lace-up flats and I didn’t like where the dress hit me. If you ever find yourself in the same predicament, an easy solution is to tie the dress up in a side knot. It’ll completely change the look of a dress that doesn’t quite fit you in the length.

Wherever you will be celebrating, I hope your weekend is filled with sunshine, good food and laughter. Thank you for following along with my adventures on My Chic Sunday. I’ll talk to you next week 🙂
Must-Have Summer Basics – When it’s okay to splurge and when it’s best to save.
It is no surprise that everyone loves a great deal but when is it okay to spend a little extra on those must-have summer basics? In tonight’s post I want to share my tips on when to splurge and when to save while shopping this summer.
How to Save on Summer Basics:
Shop at Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe for Maxi Skirts. There’s no reason to spend a fortune on a jersey knit maxi skirt. You can find a great one at your local Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe for less than $15! I wore a maxi skirt with two slits up the side from Charlotte Russe (check out my Instagram for photos) and it was incredibly comfy and stunning.
Gladiator sandals: I own an amazing pair of brown gladiator sandals from Charlotte Russe and I receive endless compliments everytime I wear them. Everyone is always surprised to learn that they are from Charlotte Russe and cost less than $40. Unlike most inexpensive sandals, they are incredibly comfortable and they have lasted quite a long time. They are starting to tear at the ankle and they probably won’t last for years and years to come but by that time, I’m sure the gladiator trend will have come to an end. So, it’s important not to spend big bucks on a fad. Inexpensive gladiator sandals for you to shop right now are listed below.
When it’s okay to splurge:
A bralette is the hottest summer fashion trend but is it worth it to spend a little extra? In my opinion, yes. Anything that has to do with lace (underwear, bra, bralette, etc.) is worth the hefty price tag. I love my Free People bralette ($38) and I know that it will last a lot longer than an inexpensive one. I’ve shared my favorite bralettes with you below.
Rompers are better than dresses in my opinion and the perfect way to celebrate the hot summer nights. If you’re second guessing spending a few extra dollars on a romper for summer, don’t think twice. You can tell the difference between a good quality romper and a less-expensive one mostly because of the fabric. If you want to wear a romper that no one has ever seen before, you may have to spend a little bit more money. I’ve shared a few good suggestions for you below.
